I AM REEEVIIIIIVEEEED!!!!
Okay, so those of you who read my blogs (you two know who you are) know that I've been neglecting this blog for 3 months, and that I owe at least 10 posts. Most importantly I owe the second half of my London expo post which by now, none of you care about (but you SHOULD care). My excuses are that:
- I recently graduated from my university, which meant my parents visiting me in London, which meant 2 weeks of sight-seeing and shopping (the former being something that I've never done in my 3 years of living there)
- Hanging out with all my friends for the last time and eating at all my favourite restaurants
- Finishing my elephant hunt (something I wish I never started because hnhgghngnghghg)
- Packing everything I own into boxes and filling all the necessary forms associated with moving out of a country forever.
- Settling into my home country; meeting old friends and relatives, unpacking everything
- Looking for a job
- Bumming around the house because it's my holidays and I want to rest and do nothing
- LOOKING FOR A JOB omg
So now that I'm relatively settled in and I don't feel like I'm drifting away into the strangeness of permanently living in a country that I've always regarded as an annual holiday destination, I think it's time for me to get cracking on all those half-remembered posts.
(You're probably wondering what that elephant hunt was well HAHA that's for another day >:D )
The 2nd half of my London MCM Expo Part 2: Return of the Nerd.
So the second day started all right. We dressed up as Sexy Kimono girls and the costume was easy enough. It didn't require millions of ribbons to be glued on and I didn't have to learn how to tie on a bow again. We didn't have the geta sandals, so we opted for high heeled shoes with tights. The end result was....

Only 1 hour late! It's a miracle~~ |
And now for a very long, very large picspam. I hope you have fast internet connections! Oh and sorry for the poor image quality. These are all screenshots from video clips I took that day (I couldn't be bothered to bring my camera)
Luffy and...Stitch...? |
It's the Full Metal Alchemist cast!! [but where's Al??] |
So many things to buy...so little money D: |
A japanese artist sketching people on the spot |
This one is sketching me |
I don't watch the series, but I'm guessing the Kuroshitsuji cast...and Sanji. For some reason.
(Maybe because he's a chef...and he...makes food...for the young master?) |
I don't know who she is but it must hurt a lot to keep that pose for 10 minutes |
Cool scythe! |
It's a Hitachin twin! |
This woman kept giving us brochures to a tea ceremony.
I want to wear that kind of kimono next time I cosplay :( |
I'm still amazed at how many people cosplay in London! |
What is this I don't even what |
It's Buggy the Clown <3 Can you spot him?
(hint:he has blue hair)
It's Axel Powers Hetalia~~

Is it a normal furry? Or is it Red XIII? |
In cosplay cons, you can hug anyone you want, if you ask for permission
(haha sorry this pic still has the video controller on it) |
This Auron cosplayer swung his sword around for more than 20 minutes
It would've been cool except... |
Seriously? Auron has short black hair....and a long blond ponytail??? |
.... |
Ahahah Alan Walker DOES eat a lot. He's so in character. |
Then it was time for the cosplay competition. It was supposed to start at 3.30, so we went in line at 3.
Then we waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
And while we waited, I took videos of everyone who passed us by. Some notable ones:
Hee Hee. Card cosplayers. |
Very nice Riku and Ai |
First Chocobo spotting! |
Someone came with their parents?? |
The game hasn't been out long and already there are FFXIII cosplayers |
And finally (FINALLY) at 4, we were let in. And I was really excited because I've never watched a cosplay competition. Even my friend was looking forward to it, especially after waiting for a million hours for it to start.
And then...
What?? What is this?? Who is this singing guy and what is he doing taking up valuable time singing on stage? Why is he singing Japanese songs? Are they a cover band?? WHY?? WHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY??????
WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY |
God I hate you, give me some cosplaying akdsjlafgalfgdlkc |
The drummer is cute and that's okay but damn you singing guy and your weird dance moves I damn youuuuu |
And then my video camera's battery died.
And my brain melted out of my ears.
So yeah, we sat through 3 more of their songs (UGH) and finally the competition started. My friend took pictures while I cried silently to myself at my lack of foresight. We had to leave 10 minutes later because my friend had to catch her train back home.
London MCM Expo Part 3 up next!
